What is NAD and its Precursors?

Instead, precursors like nicotinamide riboside (NR) and nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMNH) are often used in dietary supplements because they convert into NAD+ within the body. These precursors can effectively boost NAD+ levels.
A Note about Excipients! As with all our products, we do NOT use excipients with any of our products (aka “inactive ingredients” such as rice flour, fillers, etc.). This is crucial because when you purchase dietary supplements (particularly high-cost products), you expect to receive what you’re paying for, not rice flour (or other fillers). Rice flour is a low-cost ingredient that most companies use to facilitate the manufacturing processes during encapsulation. While the content of rice flour should not exceed 2%-5%, companies are taking advantage of customers by adding 10%-25% or even more rice flour to their products. That means customers are being cheated. Unless the product is sent to be tested at a lab, there’s no way to know the actual content of rice flour (or any excipient). Significantly lower-priced supplements are probably loaded with rice flour and similar excipients. By being aware of this, you can make informed decisions about the supplements you choose.
